Call for Papers

All submitting authors must follow the below guidelines:

• The deadline for submitting papers is October 1st, 2026.
• All papers must be submitted via the submission portal.
• Authors must use the ICPhS template to write their papers – download the Word template or LaTeX template. Details of the required paper format are provided in these templates. Papers must be submitted in PDF format.
• For the initial submission process, authors are responsible for ensuring that their PDF file does not contain any identifying information, such as the authors’ names or email addresses.
• Fill in the submitting author’s name and e-mail address properly in the system – these contact details will serve for further correspondence with the author(s).
• There is no limit on the number of authors or presenters per paper, but individuals may be listed as first author on only one paper submission.
• By submitting a paper, authors certify that the work was conducted in accordance with all local, national, and international ethical guidelines or regulations, and that all authors are taking responsibility for the content of the paper.
• Select the scientific area that is closest to the main topic of your paper. If relevant, choose up to two additional scientific areas.
• You may indicate your preference for an oral or poster presentation. While authors’ preferences are carefully considered, please understand that we can’t accommodate everyone’s preference.
• For both oral and poster presentations, the full-paper submission must be a maximum of four A4 pages, with an additional page for references.
• Authors will receive an immediate email confirmation of receipt of their paper. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact [email protected].
• Paper submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Authors will be notified via email by December 15, 2026 whether their paper has been accepted for presentation at the congress. By submitting your paper, you agree to its publication in the ICPhS 2027 Congress proceedings.
• A final revised paper addressing the comments provided by the reviewers must be submitted via the submission portal by March 7, 2027. Note that a final paper with all the author’s names, affiliations and email addresses must be submitted during the second round even if no changes are made to the initial paper submitted during the first round.

Additionally, note that there should be at least one unique registration at the Congress per accepted paper. That is, an author cannot be the only registered author at the Congress on more than one paper. At least one presenting author must register by April 25, 2027, to guarantee inclusion of the paper in the program.
